2019 Indy Cross Series

Indy Cross is a local cyclocross series offering five race weekends here in Central indiana. This series is designed as a fun, grassroots series catering to all types of racers. Most importantly Indy Cross is designed as a relaxed but competitive race series with an encouraging and fun atmosphere that should cater well to the beginning racer that wants to experience cross racing in an welcoming environment.

Beginners who may be considering racing cross but do not own a cyclocross specific bike are always welcome to use mountain bikes and should find this a perfect race/venue to find mentors or just try out a race in smaller, informal setting.

All categories require a USA Cycling Racing License. Annuall licenses can be purchased at USA Cycling. One Day Racing Licenses ($10) for Category 5 racers are available at each event for $10.

Teams are welcome to set up team tents.

Starting Order/Call-ups

  • Individual categories within each wave will have staggered starts as required. Categores with smaller fields and simialr abilites may be grouped together and started at the same time. The race director reserve the right to adjust as needed on race day.
  • Call-ups are awarded to pre-registered riders only and are based on order of registration.
  • Day of registration entries are not eligible to receive a call up.

Bib Numbers

  • Bib numbers shall be provided for each event and shall be picked up at registration on the day of the event.
  • Bib numbers shall be unique to each wave so riders racing in multiple waves shall require multiple bib numbers.
  • PLEASE DO NOT ALTER YOUR BIB NUMBER (ie - cutting, wrinkling, etc). Bib numbers shall be placed on your side. Bib numbers placed on your back are unreadable. Please CLICK HERE to read an article regarding bib placement.

Fine Print

  • USA cycling upgrade rules apply to all categories.
  • Parents of Junior participants are strongly encouraged to cheer their kids on as they compete. Yelling and/or scolding will not be tolerated as we want to provide for a postitive environment for youth sports.
